Answer: (B) Tesla Model S

Fuel Efficiency meets luxury for the following four vehicles.  The four selected vehicles below demonstrate the ways in which luxury can be fuel-efficient:

Tesla Model S (89-95 MPGe):

With the Tesla Model S you can eliminate your weekly trip to the nearest gas pump. Offering mileage from 89 to 95 MPG the Tesla Model S is rated one of the top vehicles for fuel efficiency. Offering two substantial batteries, 60 kWh or 85 kWh, the model S can net a 265 mile range. Its performance is dynamic as well reaching speeds of 60 mph in 5 seconds. Is it time for a Tesla?

Fisker Karma (52 MPGe)

The Fisker Karma has 300 miles of range and averages 52 MPGe. The Karma receives this range from the combination of two electric motors.  Together the electric motors send 402 horsepower to the rear wheels. In only 6 seconds the Karma can reach speeds up to 60 mph.

Lexus CT200h (42 mpg)

The Lexus CT200h may not be the fastest car on the road, but its sporty atmosphere and small size make it a valuable luxury car choice. Combining a 1.8L engine with an electric motor it generates up to 134 horsepower and reaches 42 mpg.

Acura ILX Hybrid (38 mpg)

The Acura ILX Hybrid, like most hybrids cannot run on electric alone. However, the car does average decent gas mileage at 38 mpg.  Another benefit of the Acura ILX Hybrid is the price of which it sells for. The car can be purchased for under $30,000 making the car a solid deal.
